PAM CURTIS & SHARON TILLER UMPIRE AWARD

Pam Curtis started playing for Waybacks in the late 1980’s and Sharon Tiller started playing for Waybacks in 1997. Both were umpires as well as players but upon retirement from playing started umpiring to keep involved with netball. Pam achieved her National C Badge for umpiring in 2002 and Sharon achieved hers in 2003. Both became Life Members in 2005 and to this day are still actively involved with the Club.

This award is for an umpire who is enthusiastic, confident, who has umpired at least 6 games for the season, stepped in at short notice to help the club out, willing to learn and accept direction to improve their umpiring. Do the relevant exams and courses to benefit themselves and the club.

An umpire striving to achieve the next level either to obtain their badge or working towards their next level of badge. Can either be a playing or non playing umpire. An umpire who umpires to help the club and not solely for their own achievements.
